It was a thought provoking article.
Freedom, just like silence cannot be explained but only experienced. Limiting freedom to action is like limiting sound to a certain frequency range, Later you identify that there are other ranges that you could not hear but exist.
In similar way, freedom of living, thinking, freedom from past, fears, and the collective thoughts is something people ignore to visualise. They only talk about the aspects of living and acting.
Even when one says that I am free to do what I want, they are not wrong but just limited. This is freedom of action. What about the freedom of thought? How did they know doing anything as they wish is freedom? Isn't that very thought acquired from somewhere and driving their decision making which in turn is slavery.
True freedom comes from realisation, awakening of self. Such awakening empowers one to understand not just what they desire but also "why they desire". Then the desire is no more but a balanced need of survival, the actions are mere necessities or extensions of their own self.
